This week on Pintangle it’s feather stitch.
I worked this on aida and calico that I space dyed.
I used wool, space dyed cotton and viscose, perlé and metallic threads.

This is worked on dyed hessian fabric.
I tried buttonhole wheel, barred buttonhole wheel, long and short buttonhole, buttonhole stitch shading, up and down buttonhole and saw tooth buttonhole – lots of buttonholes but not many holes!

Fly stitch is an open detached chain stitch with lots of possible variations and can be like a “V” or a “Y” depending on the length of the anchoring stitch…
