Messing around with the embellisher again!

I've been playing with the embellisher again - courtesy of Dale's Hot Needles Cool Stitches - just laying down the merino tops, rolling, spritzing and ironing - then a quick blast with the embellisher - so easy!

I thought that you might like to know about a NEW TEXTILE COURSE that starts 1st DECEMBER 2010 & runs until 31 July 2011

CALLED THE SMASHEES (means smashing people) there will be 8 COMPLETE WORKSHOPS, one a month

This has been born out of THE CREATIVE CHALLENGERS GROUP whic has been running for nearly 2 years.

The workshops will be posted on a closed BLOG & will include step by step written & pictorial instructions & patterns
They will include: Machine stitching - machine embroidery stitches, machine needle felting, using a serger (overlocker)
Hand stitchery - traditional & innovative
Creating backgrounds - mixed media & fabrics
Working with various tools including heat tools (iron, soldering iron & heat gun)
Discovering products.

Long time no blog

Dear me - I haven't blogged in ages.
We went to Ally Pally and had a great time - nice to meet Dale
and Ian at last and receive a wonderful Pommie Bag. It's still taking time to digest everything we saw and put away everything we got!

Visit to Newark

Went to the Crafty Notions open day in Newark and had a great day being entertained by Sarah Lawrence.
She says "Guess you don't know how I did these"

Free Postcard

Yesterday I received the wonderful new books"Stitches, Straps and Layers" by Maggie Grey and "Stitching the Textured Surface" by Carol McFee and Linda Monk - they arrived SO quickly too - thanks for that Maggie - such efficiency!
I got this lovely postcard which I'm assuming is one oj Carol's? though it doesn't seem to be identified - anyway thanks! - I'll treasure it and I love the books.
